Unnat Bharat Abhiyan

Any recognized Higher Educational Institution such as colleges, universities, and deemed universities across India can participate in this scheme. The institution should have a dedicated team of faculty and students to engage with the adopted village for sustainable development initiatives.

Depending on the institution's capacity and resources, it can adopt one or more villages. However, it is recommended that institutions start with 1-2 villages and scale up based on their experience and available resources for effective implementation.

The scheme focuses on multiple areas including education, health and sanitation, agriculture and food security, skill development, infrastructure improvement, environmental sustainability, and livelihood generation through technology transfer and research-based interventions.

The scheme primarily focuses on institutional participation and community engagement. Financial assistance may be provided based on project proposals and approved activities. Institutions should refer to official guidelines and announcements for specific funding details.

Students gain experiential learning opportunities, develop community engagement skills, and contribute to real-world problem-solving. They participate in research projects, skill training delivery, and social development activities which enhance their overall education and social responsibility.
