Vahali Dikri Yojana

The scheme provides assistance at multiple milestones: Rs.1,000 at birth, Rs.4,000 when the girl is 1 year old, Rs.6,000 when she enters school, Rs.11,000 at age 13, and Rs.25,000 when she turns 18 years old. These amounts are transferred to the registered bank account of the mother or guardian.

The annual family income should not exceed Rs.3 lakh to be eligible for Vahali Dikri Yojana. Families belonging to economically weaker sections and general categories with income below this threshold can apply. Income certificates are required during the application process.

Applications are submitted through the nearest ICDS center, Anganwadi center, or online through the state portal. Required documents include Aadhaar cards of parents and child, birth certificate, residence proof, income certificate, and bank account details. The scheme is specific to Gujarat state. If you relocate to another state, you may need to explore similar schemes available in that state. However, if you remain in Gujarat, the benefits continue as long as eligibility criteria are maintained and required documents are up to date.
